{"id":178,"date":"2013-01-14T14:43:40","date_gmt":"2013-01-14T14:43:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/20845.graphitasdev.co.uk\/news\/?p=178"},"modified":"2016-06-13T09:12:59","modified_gmt":"2016-06-13T09:12:59","slug":"alicat-wins-e-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.alicatworkboats.com\/news\/alicat-wins-e-contract\/","title":{"rendered":"Alicat wins E.ON contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Alicat Workboats to build\u00a0FOUR new vessels to support E.ON\\&#8217;s offshore wind generation<\/strong><br \/>\nAlicat Workboats will construct four bespoke aluminium catamarans for the UK energy supplier E.ON in the latter part of this year \u2013 with the first serving E.ON\u2019s Robin Rigg Wind Farm off the Solway Firth, near Cumbria.<\/p>\n<p>Alicat Workboats\u2019 75 staff produce approx eight vessels a year from its operating base in Great Yarmouth.<br \/>\nThe E.ON contract will see one 19m high-speed wind farm service vessel, two 17m, and one 12m support vessel. The vessels will be capable of reaching speeds up to 30 knots. Each boat will help in the operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms.<\/p>\n<p>Steve Thacker, General Manager of Alicat Workboats, said: \u201cWe are absolutely delighted to be working with E.ON on this project.
